With a bit of humor mixed with an amazing live set these handsome men packed the arena to capacity and proved they really know how to “move like jagger”. The exuded confidence, enthusiasm and charm as soon as they appeared on stage and rocked the house with each song they played. The audience was soon hooked to their catchy tunes and couldn’t stop waving their arms in the air, jumping and screaming while singing in unison with frontman Adam Levine throughout the length of the show.

Maroon 5 brought out their massively popular smash hit singles and reminded fans once more why they are among the talented rock acts of today. The songs they played were a fusion of pop, rock and dance but they had one thing in common – brilliant lyrics! No matter what genre of music you were a fan of, the band made sure you were catered to.

The band opened the concert when a soundtrack of a telephone number being dialed started playing, and immediately got the crowd hyped up and screaming. Everyone knew straight away that they were about to open with their hit single “Payphone”, and went insane the moment the band went on the stage.

Payphone was followed by the chart-topping “She Will Be Loved” which played a crucial role in introducing the band to the mainstream audience.

Maroon 5 performed “Makes Me Wonder” and “Won’t Go Home Without You” from their second album, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long”. They also played their hit single, “One More Night”, which is from their latest album, “Overexposed”.

Maroon 5’s extensive catalogue of hits rocked the entire arena. Adam Levine totally ruled and sang his heart out but I guess that is expected from you when you’re a judge on the popular singing reality show The Voice. Levine’s energy was through the roof and he owned the stage with his quirky yet confident dance moves. He made all the ladies swoon in the front with his constant pointing. His incredibly powerful voice even led to a few marriage proposals. The veteran rocker was successful in involving the entire audience and asked for callbacks from the crowd.

One thing about the show was a little bizarre. All the band members, for some strange reason, were dressed in white from head to toe. Even though it looked great on each individual, it did come across as though the band was wearing a uniform.

The storyline will address several questions that went unanswered in the movie like how the scarecrow became a scarecrow and why Glinda the Good Witch so annoyingly perky. All lead actors do a remarkable job in making the land of Oz believable for a new generation of kids who are, for a large part, unaware of the first movie. The roles of Elphaba and Glinda have been performed amazingly well.

A presentation of Wicked the Musical is highly recommended for people of all ages. I guarantee that at the end of the show you’ll become part of a standing ovation.
